Sunset Season Opener
Spring has sprung and you know what that means: it's time for the Sunset Season opener. I don't know about you, but I have looked forward to this event for the last 15 or so years. For me, it's the place to go for a day party of epic proportions. Not to mention it's reunion with people from throughout my lifetime, and sometimes this is the only event at which I'll see them. Taking place this Sunday, which is the first one of spring, at the ubiquitous Stafford Lake in Novato. Of course, this event is weather permitting, as it is every year, so if the weekly weather's been dicey, check the FB page for updates. As per usual, your selectas for the day are Solar, Galen and J-Bird, the residents of Sunset Sound System.Their eclectic sets are full of house and techno beats and that, coupled with their high energy, are what make Sunset and these parties a success. Cle' is handling the opening ceremonies, warming up the crowd for the main three. The owner and founder of Soundproof Music, Cle' hails from Dallas but has since made SF his home. A lover of music, his sound is full of house beats, with acid and Detroit flavors. A few things have changed at the lake with regards to parking, smoking and the like, so be sure to educate yourself on the event page. If you're ready for house music in the sun, then the season opener is perfect for you! Date: Sun March 9th, Time: 11am-7pm, Place: Stafford Lake, 3549 Novato Blvd, Novato, Cover: $25 + fees, More Info (CQ)
