Dirtybird BBQ
Guys, can we just talk about how many SUNDAY events there are this week? It's darn true that the summer really starts in SF in September. With the Burning Man vibes still going strong Bay-wide, we've got the exuberance of freshly born partiers and the nonchalant cool of mid-summer Berlin visitors. There is certainly no way to spend our late summer sunshine than on the normal wind capital of Treasure Island. But on perfect September days its the perfect place to hear local treasures get down family style. Every member of the influential crew will be there, spinning the tunes that brought them all from free Golden Gate Park parties to massive stages worldwide and individual acclaim internationally. Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, J. Phlip, Christian Martin, Worthy and Ardalan! Yes the gangs all here. Will you be? Date: Sun Sept 13, Time: Noon - 8pm, Place: Treasure Island Great Lawn, Cover: $30+ More Info (ML)

RS Benefit Weekend
It can be a hard knock life out there for a record store like RS94109. It's especially hard knock when that record store caters to super niche markets like esoteric techno bangers and post punk deep cuts for an ultra-hip scene. But if they don't do it who can? It is for this reason that the community is banding together to make sure that the owners' visions for what the store could be for this scene becomes fully realized. They say: no budget, no problem. The new design will feature a DJ Booth, listening station, upgraded record racks, and even a coffee bar. Pretty swanky for this mid-Loin dive of a spot. The weekend long lineup features settime free spins from some of the city's best local talent and patrons of the establishment, including (but most certainly not limited to) Matrixxman, Solar, and Vin Sol, as well as some special out of town guests. The event is pretty much all day all weekend and donations are accepted. Dancing for a cause: we can get behind that. Date: Friday Sept 11- Sunday Sept 13, Place: RS94109, Cover: donation, More Info (ML)

Venue: Audio
DJs: &Me, Adam Port, Pedro Arbulu
Music: house, techno
Cover: $10-15
This Friday and Saturday, Audio celebrates 2 years of providing SF with quality parties and talent. In honor of that milestone, the club is having a Keinemusik showcase featuring two of their DJs to rock night 1. &Me and Adam Port bring high energy and banging beats to the dancefloor, each throwing down deep house and techno grooves. Their style and do-it-yourself attitude reflect Keinemusik to a tee, so don't miss out on seeing these guys and celebrating with the Audio crew. (CQ)

Event: Opulent Temple: Dust Off w/ The Crystal Method
Venue: Public Works
DJs: The Crystal Method, Deekline, Syd Gris & more OT residents
Music: $15-30
We've all descended back to the planet from one of the dustiest Burns yet but this doesn't mean that the big sound has to stop. As usual Opulent Temple has our backs, by bringing some of the top talent ever produced by America's rave scene: The Crystal Method. With their big beat sound you'll feel like you jumped straight out of a cyber rave and into Mission's Public Works. Their high octane sound has soundtracked nearly every party scene filmed since 1995, ranging from The OC to Charlie's Angels (McG, we see you) and Zoolander to Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift. Their post-apocalyptic vibes can give chills to a Burner or a common media consumer and goes hand-in-hand with the OT energy which will be rumbling post-Playa. Reconnect with friends and reconnect with dance. (ML)

Event: Stretch w/ DJ Three
Venue: Monarch
DJs: DJ Three, Maxi Storrs, Lisbona Sisters
Music: house, techno, tech-house, acid, garage
Three is an American institution. Coming up as a Florida DJ in the 90's, Three now finds himself as a world-class DJ comfortable and respected label head. With only a few collaborations and original productions to his name, he's found success purely through his sets, not needing productions as a crutch to lift him into fame like so many others. Three has some history with San Francisco as well. Back in the 90's, our beloved Wicked Crew brought him out as guest a number of times. He's never settled down to focus on one particular facet of dance music, and so you can expect him to rock it all night long with great stuff of all kinds - deep tech-house cuts, some ghetto-house inspired shuffle, garage, acid. He'll bring what the parties asking for with their eyes. Maxi Storrs and the Lisbona Sisters will be on support duties all night! (AO)

Event: Tensnake
Venue: Mezzanine
DJs: Tensnake, Plastic Plates, Slaptop, Split
Music: disco house, deep house
Cover: $22-25
Tensnake is a German DJ who has taken the electronic world by storm with his infectious and utterly danceable tunes, namely starting with his 2010 hit Coma Cat. He has since become a veritable celebrity, playing some of the world's most lucrative electronic events, holding it down for the palatable-yet-informed deep house sound (he is from Germany after all, where they start teaching you about house music at age 8 along with your English classes). He's been touring and producing tough for the last five years impressing both purists and newbies which is probably why his appeal is so wide and his shows are so popular. It's a new gen master at work kinda vibe; don't miss it. (ML)

This year will honor the first Human Be-In by artist Michael Bowen that happened in January 1967 in Golden Gate Park.
