Making a name for himself in a genre similar to the recently stratospherically popular Disclosure, Le Youth has been creating some 90's house tinged R&B that seems to appeal to just about everyone right now. Whether your favorite music is radio-friendly middle school slappers and with some radio-friendly electronic beats. And what is wrong with the radio. It sounds like a hug on your heart, a touch of the new combinations expertly mixed with just the right dose of nostalgia. Pop is popular for a reason. Speaking of cool, Satin Jackets are cool, and we don't just mean the fashion item. The creation of two German producers who split from the now expected German aesthetic with a breezy disco aesthetic that floats the listener through summertime chill. It may be pop, but it's not EDM. Event: Toyboy & Robin
Venue: Audio
DJs: Toyboy & Robin, Traviswild
Music: house, garage, bass
Cover: $10
London's fast rising producer duo, Toyboy & Robin, have been infectiously fusing the sounds of house music with slices of garage, bass and everything in between. Raised on a healthy diet of Garage and 90's RnB & Hip Hop Toyboy & Robin, started gaining admirers early in their career when they released 'No More Sunshine' on UK Independent label Sccucci Manucci, which went on to reach number one on Juno and positioned a spotlight firmly on Toyboy & Robin's slick garage-flecked productions. But it was Summer 2013 that saw the real jewel in their crown 'Jaded', which consequently saw them play many times in Europe, as well as all over the UK. With a single and EP dropping in the first quarter, Toyboy & Robin look to well and truly stamp their mark on 2015.

Super Flu are pretty sick. They're a hot duo from where else but Deutschland that have impressed audiences and label-heads that have had their work included on labels like Monaberry alongside other top German's Monkey Safari and impressing with their new release with wunderkinds Andhim. Their DJ selections speak of the German deep house aesthetic - highly melodic and emotionally evocative without losing touch with the more esoteric techno sounds that American EDM so thoroughly shies from. Those two and a slew of local talent will bring some summery vibes for sure, but I don't doubt that Worthy will close it all out with a bang in typical Dirtybird fashion.
