Pink Mammoth Block Party
It's suiting that Pink Mammoth hosts their annual block party during the "pinkest" weekend of year - Pride Weekend that is. In case you've been hiding under a rock - Pink Mammoth is a Burning Man camp and year-round music organization that is enjoying its 3rd yearly summer celebration in the SF Streets and into the night inside. This year's lineup will be more insane than ever, with DJ talent from top international artists like Derrick Carter, local-girl-turned-international-powerhouse J. Phlip and Innervisions' David Charniss, to name a few. And this all not to mention favorite local talent like David Harness, Rooz, and Desert Hearts' Deep Jesus and Tara Brooks, Morning Gloryville's Rachel Torro, and so much more. The event, which usually goes into Mighty to round out the evening, will now feature TWO indoor spots until 3am, one of which, Space 550, has never been seen before. You won't do no better spending your prideful Saturday. Date: Sat July 27, Time: Outdoor noon - 9pm, Mighty 3pm-4am, Space 550 9pm-3am, Place: Mighty, Utah Street, Cover: $20-40, link More Info (ML)

SF Pride
This year marks the 45th year that the SF Pride Parade has been celebrating equality here in the Bay. Personally, this is one of my favorite events of the year, with many of my LGBT friends coming out to show support for all people. This 2 day celebration always takes place the final weekend in June, and this year is no exception. The weather should be gorgeous both days, which is perfect since there are 300 exhibitors, 200 parade participants and countless stages and venues. This is the largest gathering that the Bay has to offer, so be prepared for huge crowds. This two day celebration takes over Civic Center Plaza and the parade kicks off Sunday morning at 10:30am, starting at Beale Street along Market St, ending at the 8th and Market, smack dab in the middle of downtown. There's a bevy of talent hitting the various stages, with the Main Stage holding court with acts like Morning Gloryville, Big Freedia, Cheer SF and DJ Mystic Bill, plus so much more. Don your rainbow colors and get your booty down to Civic Center Plaza to show your support for one of the Bay's biggest events. Date: Sat/Sun Jun 27-28, Time: Sat: noon-6pm/Sun 10:30am to 6pm, Place: Civic Center Plaza Polk Street at Grove, Cover: $5-10 suggested donation at gate, link More Info (CQ)

Born and raised in Chicago, the original epicenter of the House Music uni-verse, his adolescence coincided with the beginnings of that city's legendary scene. Nowadays, if you mention Diz's name amongst House aficionados, you are almost cer-tain to hear adoration and respect for his insane DJ skills, stage presence, and warm-hearted personality. Diz is currently on a touring tear taking him one of the planet to the other while some-how finding time to finish up an album with mate Iz, coming soon!

They'll be joined by French Canadian Fred Everything, whose deep house tracks will have you moving and grooving. Playing in the loft is Odyssey, comprised of duo Elaine Denham and Robin Simmons, throwing down their signature sound, which is perfect as this is the night before the big pride celebration. Music: left field, krautrock, psychedelic, techno, acid
Cover: $10-20
This year, Housepitality is celebrating Pride with Chloé, a French DJ with an ear for the weird and one of the original founders and residents of Paris' legendary lesbian nightclub Le Pulp. Since cutting her teeth as a DJ at Le Pulp in the 90s, Chloé has found herself as a talented producer as well, consistently putting out new music since 2002 for labels like Ellen Allien's BPitch Control, Karat, Throne of Blood, and of course her own Kill The DJ Records, a label she runs alongside Ivan Smagghe that was birthed out of a night of the same name at Le Pulp. Her love of krautrock and electro is always easy to hear, but acid and more straight-up techno are never too far away for her either. The rest of the night will be taken care of by nearly all of Housepitality's residents - Tyrel tagging with Victor, Bai-ee tagging with Sean, and Mike and Joel upstairs doing the chug. Oh and don't forget, Housepitality's at Monarch this time! (AO)

Of course the crew is going for an all-out blowout as local Honeybears and visiting friends can gather together for one of the best gay techno parties on the biggest LGBT weekend of the year (not that they aren't all big ones). Tonight's special guests, who will play alongside the residents who are increasingly becoming as important to the collective and the scene as the visiting talent, are Women on Wax's DJ Minx, a DJ from Detroit who is a part of their acclaimed Deep Space Radio, as well as Mystic Bill, a Chicago house specialist.
