Tiny Tops & Tutus 
Tutu Tuesday and YBR Promotions invite you to a first annual gifting gala where you can do some light holiday shopping, give to a worthy cause, and be entertained all at once! Featuring a burlesque performance with talent from the Hubba Hubba Revue and a ballet performance with dancers from the San Francisco Ballet, this whimsical 4 designer fashion event shows off creations by Silver Lucy, Carla Tutu, Tiny Tops, and Le Petit Hat Company. Tutu Tuesday resident and intuitively expert song selector, Atish, choreographs the event with live mixing of hand selected tracks for the catwalk as well as a gorgeous tech-house soundtrack for the entire evening. ILuminacion 
Helping to raise funds for artists going to Envision Festival in Costa Rica, ILuminacion will feature dozens of artists, performers and DJs within the multi-level megaclub 1015. In collaboration with the international artist community Yum Sauce, ILuminacion will donate $5 of every ticket sale to artists' travel funds for Envision. Gladkill and Russ Liquid from Headtron in LA will headline the night along with the ancient future tantric dub-hop of Kaminanda, the electronic/hip-hop/reggae beats and vocals of Lafa Taylor, the amazing theatrics of the performance collective Visionary Alliance, and many more. Tickets for Envision Festival will also be for sale at the event, so let's envision a sunny, magical trip to Costa Rica this March! Galvanize GAFFTA Benefit 
Grey Area Foundation for the Arts, also known as GAFFTA, is hosting their 2nd annual benefit at the legendary Warfield Theater. In producing unique events and offering interesting lectures, GAFFTA is actively engaging the technological innovators that are fueling exciting integrations in art and music. Tonight's entertainment billing reflects their objective to support the cutting-edge artists who are reinventing the advances of the modern world into their creations.  Among them are a forward-thinking pianist, ELEW, who calls his music "rockjazz," and Eclectic Method who integrates a stunning barrage of pop visuals into his chopped up dance anthems. Girabaldi rounds out this cast with his remarkable act, incorporating musical performance into his passionate painting.  Tap into the community that is experiencing the future as Now and give to the cause of this worthy endeavor. This Wednesday, over 20 DJs representing more than 10 DJ crews will perform in two rooms at Public Works to raise money for a dear friend's medical recovery. It is a testament to the strength of the SF dance music community as well as the contributions of the event's beneficiary, Tamo Hulva. Tamo is a local designer who has touched many lives and now it is others who are joining hands to lift up hers. If you don't know her personally this is still a great place to dance, celebrate life, and demonstrate the generosity of your spirit without doing anything more than you normally would when you want to have a great time. Right in time for the holidays, giving just got a little sweeter. (CG)

Where else can you dance with scantily clad ladies while still feeling good about giving to the kids? Mars Bar's HO HO HO Holiday Toy Drive, that's where! For the last 13 years, Mars Bar has put on this cheeky-themed charity event where one unwrapped toy gets you access to the party with Jerry Ross, Duserock and Mario Dubbz on the decks. Toys will be donated to the Tenderloin Afterschool Project so it is nice to know these gifts will be going straight to a local neighborhood that needs them most. (CG)

With origins rooted in Tunisia, Loco Dice has worked his way from hip-hop to underground techno and now currently holds residency at one of Ibiza's biggest nights, Cocoon. Known for their wall-rattling, high energy sets and outrageous onstage antics, including large inflatable bananas and champagne bottles, as well as the occasional live marching band accompaniment, Dada Life have refused to do anything but move forward and follow the money, resulting in some of the most massive electro tracks festival-goers around the world have ever heard. This dastardly duo continues to demolish dance floors with its huge crowd anthems and absolutely filthy basslines, delivering a well-deserved smack in the face to anyone not stomping their hearts out to these primal beats. In just a few short years, dubstep has taken center stage with the other big EDM genres in United States, UK and beyond. San Jose-based NiT GriT has emerged as one of the hardest working and most promising dubstep artists in the Bay Area. With a background in grime, glitch, IDM and breakcore, it's no surprise he dove head first into the new sounds of dubstep. Now it's our turn to dive onto the dancefloor to the beat of the dub-wob-wob-wob. (EB)

With the international minimal techno mega-hit, "Rej" under their belts, German duo, Ame have recently tried stretching out a little, particularly to the deeper end of the spectrum. With true German minimal flair, Ame rolls out a deep blue tapestry of hypnotic beats and soulful sounds. Innervisions label mate, Marcus Worgull brings his own brand of deep house to the table for a night of euphoric synthesizers and chest-throbbing drops. (GB)

Dream a little dream with Soleil Unité and The Dreamtime Circus as they present Chimera, a winter wonderland extravaganza. This event serves as a fundraiser for The Dreamtime Circus, a traveling troupe that brings circus fun to underprivileged areas. So even though there isn't a cover charge, there's a suggested donation of $5-20. Don your best white attire and hit the dancefloor as The Genie, The Pirate, Anti-Bio-Tick, Question?, D8 and Jai Soleil provide the soundtrack to this beautiful night. (CQ)

As one of the great purveyors of breaks in Bay Area, Opel hits us with bass-filled beats and holiday cheer as we celebrate the end of another year. (EB)

Slow Hands' music is like the warm, lethargic morning after a long night of candle-lit romance between the sheets. There's no rush and nowhere to be, just a brilliantly mellow afterglow that envelopes you the whole day. A former classical guitar and composition student, Slow Hands uses his training, both academic and real world, to sculpt slow motion disco tracks as deep as they are soulful. His steadfast grooves build listlessly and gradually bloom into a blanket of thick, sexual humidity. (GB)

Two words that are synonymous with The Triple Threat DJs are turntablism and beat-juggling. One of Detroit's early techno innovators, Juan Atkins comes to the Bay Area to headline Icee Hot's Saturday night party at Public Works. The veteran producer often hailed as the "Godfather of techno" first received success as a producer in the early 80s with the duo Cybotron and then later in 1985 with the track "No UFOs" released under his old moniker Model 500. Watch this techno legend spin beats alongside innovative nu skool acts Balam Acab and OoOo. (EB)

Thank your grandma, puffy paint and tacky garb for giving us these 80s artifacts from which to draw such hearty laughs.
