The night begins with local group Geographer playing selections from their new album "Animal Shapes," which has been buzzing in the blogosphere. A relentless performer--he's constantly touring the globe and graces SF tonight--with proceeds being donated to Global Giving's Japan Earthquake and Tsunami relief fund. (JE)

Joining them for this rare US performance, Star Eyes will bring the drum 'n' bass and electro tunes on Mighy's killer sound system. (EB)

Thursday has never been this exciting! Tonight get ready to experience the legend that is Lee Burridge. Lee has regularly been described as a DJ's DJ. When asked what style he plays he retorted, "Wonky, Wobbly, bassline driven, trippy, melodic, mean, nasty, gentle, deep, spacious, distant and rocking. Interesting not obvious. Those are some of the words that I'd use to describe the records in my box". This could not be more true. Voted by dance music site Resident Advisor as #51 on their top DJs in 2010, this man brings the business! He only makes it through a couple times here a year so go out and hear the magic. (WF)

Cansei de Ser Sexy ("Tired of Being Sexy") aka CSS are the hipster darlings from São Paulo, Brazil that made their way onto thousands of ipods in skinny jean pockets after a user generated ipod touch commercial was remade by Apple. They are best known for recent songs like "Music Is My Hot Hot Sex" and "Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above," but they've been around since 2003. Permanent Vacation Record's golden boy, Tensnake is slithering through SF tonight at Public Works.  This heavily disco-influenced, electro house producer reins from Hamburg, Germany and is no secret there. Between his mix last year for Resident Advisor and his Coma Cat EP this has man of the hour has really been blowing up the last couple of years.  It should be no surprise to those in the know that with this kind of DJ roster, this night will take you by storm and make your inhibitions run for shelter. If his ironically uber-cheesy faux-80s music videos are any implication of what to expect from his live shows, best be ready for one hipster evening of a party. (JE)
