CMAC is dedicated to preserving the music scene of the Bay, creating safe environments and educational opportunities. Though it was their remixes of M.I.A., Asobi Seksu, and Erlend Oye that originally got people's attention, The Twelves mixes and original tracks are outstanding as well. They now perform internationally at concerts and festivals, and were listed as one of Spin Magazine's nine unknown acts to watch at SXSW 2009. Their live show is highly improvisational, blending live keyboards, drum machines, and mash-ups to create catchy nouveau-disco club grooves and remixing on the fly. (JE) |
