Valentine's Day Pillowfight
Because nothing's more romantic or sexy than bashing your neighbor with a pillow in a sea of people and feathers, or perhaps because this day seems to bring out the violence within us more than other days, the annual Valentine's Day Pillowfight has consistently brought people out by the droves and shows no sign of slowing down this year. And let's get this right people, it's not a flash mob, it's a PILLOW FIGHT. There are only a few rules you must follow: Tell everyone you know about it, wait for the Ferry Building clock to strike 6pm, don't hit anyone without a pillow (unless they want to be hit), don't hit anyone with a CAMERA (that would ruin your cameo in the newspaper), and, uh, oh--HAVE FUN. It's on rain or shine, so grab a pillow and get ready to start whacking! Date: Sun 2/14, Time: 6pm, Place: Justin Herman Plaza, Cover: no cover, More Info (JE)

Call the Mayor Day
This Tuesday is the day to make our voices heard! At last month's Flux Summit, in response to the Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) and SFPD crackdown on live music venues and clubs in the city, district 6 supervisor candidate, Debra Walker suggested organizing a Call the Mayor Day to tell Gavin that we do not want our venues raided unjustly. A phone call to the Mayor's office (415-554-6141) will only take a few minutes and it will make a much needed impact on the situation. Pick up the phone, help keep the music going and Stop the War on Fun. Date: Tue 2/9, Time: all day, Place: n/a, Cover: no cover, More Info (EB) |
