Green Bash
After Green Festival shuts down for the day, the night comes to life with Green Bash afterparties to keep the green vibe going. The official opening night party at 1015 will kick off the weekend Friday night with Delhi 2 Dublin and the Non Stop Bhangra crew. For Saturday they've got a massive lineup with a planetary pulse at the Regency Ballroom, which will also benefit the eco-conscious non-profit Common Vision. To close out the festives, they're hosting two parties on Sunday: Pulse of the Green at 1015 with underground hip-hop legends Dead Prez, and Evolve Culture at Temple featuring over a dozen DJs, including the deejay/emcee duo Souleye & DC. DJ Spooky

Strength in Flavor
The ultimate dance competition is going down this Saturday at DNA Lounge as part of Scion's Dance Week. They're flying in some of the best dancers from around the country to show off their fancy footwork and battle it out for the $2000 prize. This all ages, all styles dance tournament will showcase hot floor rocking moves in honor of hip-hop month and the evolution of dance culture. The afternoon will be topped off with a celebratory toast to one of hip-hop's founding father DJ Kool Herc. When this event ends the night will still be young, but the older crowd can keep their Saturday rocking with Temple's official Strength in Flavor afterparty. 4th Annual SF Animation Festival
