Exotic Erotic Ball
If the Folsom Street Fair had a hot, kinky older sister it would be the Exotic Erotic Ball. Part Mardi Gras, part burlesque, part Halloween festival--and totally wild--the infamous Ball celebrates its 30th anniversary milestone with another freaky, sexy, one-of-a-kind masquerade affair. As the oldest adult-themed public event in the Bay Area attracting over 20,000 racy revelers, there's really nothing like it. While promoting love, freedom and respect, the festival offers the finest in flesh, fetish, and fantasy. Five stages will feature over 65 performances with headline music acts and DJs, naughty models, wild circus sideshows, hot strippers, sexy contortionists, a human petting zoo, the penis painter, reality TV stars, and more. Don't let your weekend be a tease, go for an explosive climax! Date: Sat 10/24, Time: 8pm-2am, Place: Cow Palace, Daly City, Cover: $79 general, $175 VIP, link More Info (EB)

Sunset Halloween Boat Party
The "season finale" may have just passed, but that doesn't mean that the Sunset parties are over. Let's face it: Halloween really stopped being fun the year you were too old to trick-or-treat anymore, and this city's full of amateurs on Halloween anyway. Why not forget the hullabaloo of the 31st and jump on a boat party you KNOW is gonna be fun. You'll be getting one unique event only these guys could produce as they bring together the elements of their most cherished boat parties and mix it with a Halloween theme. Special guests Dandy Jack of German and Chilean repute, and retro-funk hip-hop local boys Azeem & Zeph join residents J-Bird, Solar, and Galen for a truly freaky night of ghoulish fun. Date: Sun10/25, Time: 5pm-11pm, Place: aboard the San Francisco Sprit, Pier 9 (Broadway & Embarcadero), Cover: $45 presale, link More Info (JE)

Beats for Boobs Fundraiser
On top of a hot DJ lineup with shOOey and Icon, your ticket to this annual fundraiser includes a fashion show with designs from local stars like Tamo, Silver Lucy, and Buddhalicious, plus a host of live performances from the likes of Hoopgirl, Solar Flare, and more ("Breakdancing by Muppet Babies," anyone?). There will also be some taste temptations provided by local restaurants, and please don't forget the "Boobie Prize Wheel." Get educated on prevention, raise money for a cure, and enjoy art, fashion, food, and music. Breast cancer is no fun, folks, but the sad truth is most of us know someone (or several) inflicted with it. If we're gonna do something about it, it may as well be a party. Date: Fri 10/23, Time: 6pm-2am, Place: 111 Minna Gallery, Cover: $25 VIP ticket, $50 VIP package, link More Info (JE)

Once again SF Indie Fest is back with a Halloween edition of their alcohol-influenced-wipeout-waiting-to-happen (for which IndieFest is not responsible) retro-party with tunes and skate rentals provided, as always, by the one and only Black Rock Roller Disco. Join 300 fabulous party people for a dangerous--er--debaucherous evening of costumes and kickin' it old school stylee as part of the 7th annual Documentary Film Festival. Accessories such as hats, masks, and shoes could add that special touch your costume needs so come early and find your gem. If electronic music and professional DJs/producers had been around in the 60's, it's safe to bet that they would have played at the historic Woodstock music festival of '69. As a genre that easily crosses language barriers and has risen in the last 20 years to become one of the most predominant forms of music worldwide, electronic dance music (EDM) is a global phenomenon that will continue to flourish for many years to come. Although most of the event features bands and other live acts, the DJ Tribal Stomp will start pumping their speakers at noon and continue to shake the park until 5pm. Come celebrate life, love, and the 40th anniversary of Woodstock with music and dance! (EB)
