It's time for another adventure in the Crazy Maze III, a haybale maze transformed into a playground of various delights for your partying pleasure. Three dance floors will feature DJs Eric Sharp, Smoove, Mancub, Laird, and more, plus live music and circus acts from the likes of Gooferman and Circus Metropolus, not to mention zany sideshows, midway amusements, and whiskey bars all waiting for your discovery as you stumble through the maze. Bootie's 6 Year Anniversary
Bootie celebrates six years of mashing it up, with a party so big, it can't be contained in one night! It's the Bootie 6-Year Anniversary Weekender! Friday is a school night with "Mashups 101: A Bastard Pop Lesson" for all you naughty boys and girls featuring the DJs from Blow Up. Then Saturday continues the mashup madness with "Pirate Night" and the return of LA club Illumination Radio, featuring electro indie remixes and mashups from Jells Mayhem of The Illuminoids (who will also be doing a late-night main floor set) along with guest DJ Earworm. Resident DJs Adrian, Mysterious D, and Dada spin different sets on both nights with the best pirated mashups from the past year on Saturday. At 11pm on both nights, live Bootie house band Smash-Up Derby will play a "greatest hits" set and prove once again why they're one of the "Best of the Bay." And at midnight, Bootie LA's resident 10-person dance crew R.A.I.D. (Random Acts of Irreverent Dance) will take the stage in their trademark gold suits, with another set of choreographed mashup dance numbers. Grandmaster Flash
The turntable legend, Grandmaster Flash, is coming to Yoshi's for a one-night-only special engagement at Yoshi's. Although typically a sophisticated jazz club, the 28,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art venue is getting funky fresh tonight with one of the founding fathers of hip-hop. If jazz had never been invented, its descendants (rock 'n' roll, funk, disco, house, and hip-hop) might have never come to life. 30 Minute Intro DJ Lessons
We've all watched DJs work their magic on the decks, making seamless mixing look easy, but have you ever wanted to learn how to command the wheels of steel yourself? The DJ Arts Academy is hosting free 30 minute DJs lessons with every day of the week until the end of 2009. They'll provide all the equipment and teach you the basic tricks of the trade whether you want to use vinyl, CDs, or digital DJ software. Amstel Light and Blackbook Magazine have put together a unique clubbing experience this Thursday at Ruby Skye. They've prepared a four hour extravaganza from 8pm-12am in true Amsterdam style by fusing art, live music, dancing, and DJs. The Shiny Toy Guns, best known for their "Le Disko" radio hit, will headline with their slammin' electronic indie rock jams. Opening tonight is DJ Eric Cubeechee, who played in the #1 time slot on 100.3 the beat in LA for six years, earning him the Evening Mixshow DJ of the Year award at the Mixshow Power Summit. (EB)

You may not have heard of Luca Bacchetti, but unless you've been living under a rock the past year, you've definitely heard his music. Within the past few years this new DJ has skyrocketed from playing clubs in his home country Italy to producing and remixing for some of the coolest labels in the game, like Wagon Repair, Ovum, Tenax Recordings, Supernature, SCI+TEC, Minisketch, Safari Eletronique, Supernature, Saw Recordings, Viva Music, Tommy Boy, Meerestief, Glueckskind, and Snork Enterprises. His tracks consistently do well on Beatport's charts leading him to be nominated for their BMA 2008 awards. Deep Blue, BASE Italy Underground, and Christian brought him out to perform at Slide tonight so you can see how talented he actually is. (EB)

Producer and DJ, Jacques Renault not only started his residency at the infamous Smart Bar, but also became a buyer at the legendary Gramaphone Records. This broad, raw exposure to house lead him straight back to the classics of disco and to its heart, New York City, where he landed in 2002. His distinct sound and ability to gauge his audience has made Jacques a stand-out amongst his peers in the elite, international sphere of electronic music. He has performed everywhere from the Guggenheim's Art After Dark to Berlin's Rio Club - even gracing the pages of Paper Magazine's 2007 Beautiful People and winning "Best NYC DJ" at Paper's Night Life Awards. Osunlade has been prevailing in his non-traditionalist house sound for quite the while. When he's not busy touring the world he runs his own record label, Yoruba. He has a very unique sound on a similar vein as Moodymann or Theo Parrish and produces organic house with gritty jazz samples that sound like a head nod to Miles Davis' jazz fusion days. This event will be pretty much unstoppable. (WF)

She is part of the all female DJ collective Superjane (along with DJ Colette, Dahota and Lady D) and will surely not disappoint. This party, with sets from some of SF's major players, including emotronic glitchman Mozaic, the breaksy Aaron Jae and Ernie Trevino, and a main organizer of Nexus itself, Mr. Projectile, promises to be a night of eclecticly good tunes with a group of people dedicated to creating unique environments which "bring people together to experience the beauty of music, art, and social interaction." Their self-proclaimed style of "bangin' progressive turntablism" mixes together a diverse spectrum of tracks from house to hip-hop and everything in between. (EB)

One wouldn't normally think to put Latin and disco music together, but for Los Amigos Invisibles it's a perfect match for their high-energy performance-driven band. By adding in some funk and a touch of acid jazz, Los Amigos' dance-friendly, infectious rhythms recently earned them a spot as single of the week on iTunes for their song "Vivire Para Ti." Tonight, the Fillmore is burning up with a funky Latin flair and if you get too close to the stage you might go home with disco fever. (EB)
