BYOBW
For Easter, San Francisco has got something much better than some lame easter egg hunt: a downhill race on the most twisty, turny block in the city, Vermont St. in Potrero Hill. The 9th Annual Bring Your Own Big Wheel event is a balls-to-the-wall race to the finish, but also an opportunity for kids and adults to have fun together with this goofy but treacherous San Francisco tradition. If you don't have a big wheel or tricycle already, check thrift stores, yard sales, or buy a new one at your local toy store. The course will have you sliding, skidding, and drifting, so helmets are recommended for drivers. Spectators are encouraged to come watch, but beware of out of control racers going off course! Rememeber: this is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out event, so leave the place cleaner than you found it so we can continue to have this event for years to come. Date: Sun 4/12, Time: 4pm, Place: Vermont St & 20th St, Cover: no cover, More Info (EB)
