ARTumnal Gathering
Without the Black Rock Arts Foundation, unique projects that challenge artists and civilians alike to experience art in fresh and unpredictable ways might never come to fruition.  Tonight, BRAF hosts a creative, sensory extravaganza to help raise money for the amazing projects they fund both on and off the playa, with performances from some of the best such as the Brass Menazeri, the Vau De Vire Society, and--though Burning Man has yet to grant funding to the magnificent and inspiring labors of love that are the sound camps, representatives from two of the most treasured, the Deep End (Clark Hammon) and Opulent Temple (Dex Stakker)--will also be here in solidarity for this most influential event, and so should you. Date: Saturday, 11/22, Time: (with dinner) 6pm-3am, (main event) 9pm-3am, Place: The Bentley Reserve, Cover: $20-500. link More Info (JE)

Five and Diamond Anniv Soiree
Local establishment Five and Diamond, one of the newer boutique shops to hit the hipper-than-thou Mission district, has proved itself to be more than worthy of the location, selling their own piercing line, jewelry, leather accessories, women's apparel, and even services from their own tatoo artist-- impressing the most selective of burner and hipster fashionistas.  Come dressed in white (requested) and celebrate their 1-year annivesary with a soiree as unique and stylish as the fashion it commemorates.  Enjoy a three course dinner accompanied by live burlesque, acoustic, and aerial performance, followed by a sexy fashion show, then afterwards shake it to DJ Shawna, DJ Laura, Dee, and Beats Antique on the dancefloor. Date: Sunday, 11/23, Time: Dinner and performances: 8pm, Fashion Show and Afterparty: 10:30pm, Place: Five and Diamond (510 Valencia St) Cover: $45 (includes dinner, fashion show and afterparty--available through 5&D presale only), $10 for fashion show and afterparty only (presale through 5&D or $12 at the door.) link More Info (JE)
