The SF Funk Fest has returned after a 4 year hiatus and is pulling out all the stops in its legendary DJ night with turntable legend, and Jurassic 5, Ozomatli founder Cut Chemist. After selling out the likes of the Hollywood Bowl and Greek Theatre with last summer's "Hard Sell" tour with DJ Shadow, Cut will be debuting a brand new solo video set at DNA on November 14 complete with vintage cuts from his legendary VHS, Beta and 35mm vaults. If you thought his record collection was something, wait till you see him scratch "Soul Train". Joining Cut in the mix will be "Canada's King of the 45's" Wicked Lester of Vancouver (aka Vinyl Ritchie), a legend up north for his long 45's sets at the Shambhala Festival. After a 1 month hiatus, the East Bay's techno standard, Black Market Techno, returns with a stormin 1 year anniversary party. With collaborations with Keith Kemp, Tadeo and future works with Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Seth Troxler, these guys are riding the forefront of modern dance floor techno.
