Treasure Island Music Festival
After the great success of the first Treasure Island Music Festival, another stellar two-day lineup comes to Treasure Island to rock the Bay once again. On day one - Goldfrapp, Hot Chip, and Justice, the indie/electro sensation who had one of the top electronic albums of 2007. Day two goes more acoustic/rock with headliners The Raconteurs, Tegan & Sara, and Vampire Weekend. Check out the full lineup and get your tickets now! There are one-day and two-day tickets, but remember that you will not be able to park on the island. You can park for free at Lot A of AT&T park and catch the shuttle, take a cab and get dropped off, or take the 108 bus from the Transbay Terminal in downtown SF. South Beach/Mission Bay Fair
As the summer ends, the fun just doesn’t stop! The first annual South Beach/Mission Bay street fair takes place this Saturday to showcase the cuisine of local restaurants with an outdoor party complete with two stages of live bands and DJs. On the DJ stage, Green Gorilla Lounge, Get YER freak on!, Sunset, and supperclub will be representing with Laird, M3, J-Bird, Laron, Late Night Sneaky, Rafael, Sharon Buck and Majitope providing continuous afternoon entertainment. On the second stage, Culanns Hounds, DJ Hank, and John Lawton, and more will perform live and enhance this tasty street fair. 10th Annual APAture Festival
This Thursday the country’s oldest Asian Pacific American multidisciplinary arts organization kicks off their 10-day Kearny Street workshop festival, APAture. Emerging APA artists using a wide variety of mediums will showcase their work throughout the festival. Highlights include, the kick off party on Thursday the 16th at 180 Capp St., “Listen Up” on the 19th and “Groove It” on the 26th at The Make-Out Room, and “Community Day” on Sunday at Mission Dolores Park. The prolific Rastafarian reggae artist, Anthony, is gonna tear it up at DNA Lounge! He got his start DJing in Jamaica during the late 80's, but gained international recognition from the reggae community with his 1997 album "Universal Struggle." As a "living personification of Afrikan cousciousness," Anthony tries to make us think with his lyrics and beats, rather than blindly entertain us. His 12th album "Life Over Death" is no exception and exemplifies Anthony's ability to educate and communicate with blazin' reggae productions. (EB)

One of the pioneers of the early 90's midwest and Chicago club and rave scene, although originally from Hawaii, rocking the decks tonight is none other than Miles Maeda.  Whom along with a few friends co-created the "Material" night at Club Shelter NYC, which provided a home for then up and coming, out of town talents such as: Derrick Carter, Dj Sneak, Moodymann, Herbert amongst a whole sluth of others. Since then Maeda has continued producing and holds down residencies nation wide including his night at Chicago's Smartbar. With over 100 tracks and releases since the 90's, Onionz has proved himself to be a major player in the international house scene.
