Sunset Summer Boat Party!
It’s simply not summer in San Francisco without a Sunset. And I’d certainly never go on a bay cruise without this crew of deep&dirty house-slangin’ DJs and their entourage of beglittered, beboppin, booty-shakin’ party monsters. If you haven’t been to a Sunset boat party (shame on you), it’s exactly as wonderful as it sounds: pink water, purple sky, beautiful people and deep sexy grooves. If you have been, then you know what I’m talking about. Either way, get your ticket now before it (inexorably) sells out! And assuming you’ve still got your sea legs, be sure to hit up the afterparty at Vessel. Date: Sun 7/20, Time: 6pm, Place: Pier 9, Cover: $38 limited presale, link More Info (JH)

North Beach Jazz Fest
With so many festivals every summer, it's hard to keep up and easy to miss out on the fun. The North Beach Jazz Fest, however, is one that you don't want to miss! For the next four days, enjoy an abundance of all-ages entertainment, including "Jazz on Grant" on Wednesday, "Latin Block Party" on Thursday, "Ladies in the Park" on Saturday and "Gentleman in the Park" on Sunday in Washington Square Park. And if that wasn't enough, there are late-night shows at Mojito and the Great American Music Hall on Friday and Saturday, featuring Bitter:Sweet, The Frequency, J.Boogie's Dubtronic Science, and the Breakestra. Date: Sunday 7/20-Sunday 7/27, Time: varies, Place: varies, Cover: varies, no cover in Washington Square Park, link More Info (EB)

Brass Tax Spanks Dat Ass
You know I’m always down for a bus ride… but a ride with Brass Tax on the DJ Bus? Please sir may I have another? …Yes, it’s bound to be a rip-roaring good time as this discotronic bus weaves through the city, running on hot broken beats in place of gasoline and spewing glitter instead of exhaust. With Brass Tax behind the wheels, you have no choice but to get down… and as San Francisco streams past the windowpanes, make sure you show ‘em your knickers once in a while. Just so they know what a very, very good party they’re missing. Date: Thu 7/17, Time: 7:30pm-11:30pm, Place: Meet @ Annie’s Social Club, Cover: $20 presale, link More Info (JH)
