You know it's time for summer when all the parades and outdoor festivals start popping up. Last weekend was the crazy Bay to Breakers race and this weekend is one of the city's most spectacular and culturally diverse traditions -- Carnaval! Spanning seven blocks, the Carnaval San Francisco Festival will showcase the very best of Latin American and Caribbean cultures and traditions with a diverse array of food, music, dance and artistry, including works created by the talented community of Mission District residents and Bay Area artists. The Carnaval Grand Parade starts at 9:30am and will flow through the mission to the festival grounds representing the vibrant spirit of Latin and Caribbean cultures in San Francisco! Carnival Fever
Only the diversity of the Bay Area could provide the resources to celebrate Carnival in style. Detroit's Electronic Music Fest.
Going 8 years strong, the Detroit Electronic Music Festival has become an annual pilgrimage for global fans to the birthplace of techno. For three days and nights, Detroit pays homage to techno's innovators, current superstars, up and coming pioneers, and tomorrow's legends from all over the world.
