Halloween Round Up
Halloween brings out the playful side in all of us, which is probably why the week preceding it is always packed with parties. This year, make sure to get your costume ready for Ruby Skye's week long theatrical production of Transylvania featuring Armin van Buuren, Felix da Housecat, Gabriel & Dresden, and Eric Prydz & DJ Dan. If you love tech-house then don't miss Craig Richards at Mighty this Thursday. If nu-jazz and soulful funk is the cup you drink from then don't miss Jazzanova, Apollo, & Roland Apple of Truby Trio at Temple. Saturday brings with it a crazy scary mix of quality options starting with Miss Honey Dijon at Vessel, Grandmaster Flash at Supperclub, Dylan Rhymes & Elite Force at Opel's annual costume bash at Mighty. And Tonal goes Kubrick with Clockwork Orange featuring Q-Burns Abstract Message. The list of options goes on but but remember to rest up because we hit it strong again next week leading up to Halloween Night on Wednesday. (FR)

Robotspeak 5yr Anniv Party
What would SF be without electronic music? Personally, I don't see myself getting down to the same guitar bands I listened to in high school, so I'm glad Robotspeak is around to help educate us on how to get our synthetic groove on. To celebrate five years in business, this lower Haight center for gear, technical support and good advice is having an all-day open house party featuring some of their favorite performers from the "Robotspeak sessions," including Chachi Jones, Circuit73 and Jesse Clark. With all their work breaking down the barriers between artist and audience, Robotspeak should soon realize a future where everyone speaks "robot." Date: Sunday 10/28, Time: 1-8pm, Place: Robotspeak, 589 1/2 Haight St @ Steiner, Cover: no cover, linkMore Info. (JV8)
