Chillin' 9th Anniversary
60 fashion designers, 80 painters and photographers, 60 filmakers, and 8 DJs converge at Mezzanine this Saturday for the Chillin' 9th Anniversary, and quite possibly to form the thickest concentration of creativity, innovation, an dcutting-edge style and expression the world has ever seen. Mindless drones, beware. You may just disintegrate under the pressure of all the imaginative minds at work in there. There will be something of every style and flavor, discipline and deviation in the fashion department from Ragmuffin Clothing, who will be flossing their socially conscious urbanwear, to the limited edition jewelry 19 Moons fashions from vintage and recycled components. The visual artists and filmakers will dazzle your sense of sight and blow your minds with the artistic mastery they exhibit in their works, so when you start to feel that dazed from sensory overload, don't forget to hitup the dancefloor. With a good dose of killer beats the likes of favorite locals Dirtyhertz, Laron, and Mei-Lwun among others, you'll come correct in no time. Date: Saturday 6/2, Time: 8pm-2am, Place: Mezzanine, 444 Jessie St, Cover: $6, linkMore Info (DKD)

SHOP SF
Summer is here and we all want to look our best, but who wants to deal with malls and their legions of clueless tourists and snot-nosed teenagers? Why not make your way to a more sophisticated and fun shopping experience being put on by Gen Art? Shop SF will feature spa treatments, catwalk shows, an open bar to indulge in, and myriad other treats to spoil yourself with. Over 40 of the hottest designers will be there as the event builds on the success of shows in New York and Chicago. DJs will provide the soundtrack as you peruse the wares and find the threads that fit your style in mens and womens wear and accessories. And once you've gotten in the mood with so much beauty in the air, head over to Fluid for the sultry afterparty hosted by Sebastien Entertainment where Jeff Cavanaugh and Momentum will keep spirits high as you cavort around in your new look. Date: Thurs 5/31, Time: 6-10pm, Place: Galleria  SF Design Center (101 Henry Adams St.), Cover: $10-$40, linkMore Info. (SG)

Union Street Festival
Summer's officially here and the weather's getting better (well, mostly, it is San Francisco after all), so get your head in the festival mindset and plan out your weekends with food and fun in mind. The 31st Union Street festival is on tap this weekend, combining art, food, wine, and more in one of SF's most fashionable neighborhoods. Cow Hollow is one of the first neighborhoods to develop its Victorians into boutiques, and helped the City develop it's elevated (some might say arrogant) sense of itself. Stroll down the historic street and check out the hundreds of exhibitors and sample some of the wares in a genteel atmosphere. The festival runs between Gough and Steiner, with stages at either end to provide the musical accompaniment. Think of it as sort of an anti-How Weird, but with better food and beer. Date: Sat-Sun 6/2-6/3, Time: 10am-6pm, Place: Union Street b/t Gough and Steiner, Cover: no cover, linkMore Info.
