SFLNC Gala Fundraiser
San Francisco Late Night Coalition is having a fabulous Gala Fundraiser dinner and after-party at Supperclub this Wednesday, and as the organization's primary goal is to "protect, preserve and promote San Francisco's late-night culture", we should all definitely be there to support them. You'll have the chance to hear words from guest speakers California State Assembly Member Mark Leno, SF Supervisor Fiona Ma, and SF Supervisor Chris Daly, while feasting on five French and Italian courses composed by Master Chef Jon Stevens. After dinner the club kicks into gear, and you'll get your chance to shake it to the jumping house and sinful breaks provided by Dreamteam DJs Laird and Smoove at the decks, as well as Ellen Ferrato and M3 among others. Date: Wednesday 10/18, Time: dinner 7-10pm, after-party 10pm-2am, Place: Supperclub, 657 Harrison Street @ 3rd, Cover: dinner $250 per plate, after-party sliding scale $5-10, linkMore Info (DKD)

Art and Sound of Burning Man
If you haven't been able to bear the thought of putting your playa wear away for the off-season just yet, your nostalgia is rewarded Saturday night at Supperclub, where the best music and art of Burning Man 2006 will briefly surface. The Flaming Lotus Girls' fiery "Serpent Mother" blew minds this year, and here's your chance to view the 168 ft steel and copper structure once more. The works of Laura Kimpton and Matt Evans, will also grace the venue. DJ Laird will take to the tables, letting loose a flurry of dirty breaks and bumping house, and Angel of Bass Tamo and Deep End's Clark Hamon will also provide that funk you just can't get out of your head. Date: Saturday 10/21, Time: Dinner 7:30pm and Afterparty 10pm-3am, Place: Supperclub, 657 Harrison St @ 3rd, Cover: $10 in playawear, $15 without, linkMore Info (DKD)

Event: Respect

You must show a litlte  R-E-S-P-E-C-T for DJ Seven. I mean, in 2005 he started both a bootleg label called Bootshine Records and NK7 Productions. Also, and appropriately so, he was voted number 7 on the Nitevibe DJ Dreamteam poll for 2006. But it doesn't stop there. Today is opening night of his new weekly with Raoul Kahn, happening at Pink! Is there anything this guy can't do? (CQ)

Event: Satellite
Venue: Anu
DJs: Shooey, Kuze, Scott Carrelli
Music: breaks, house, d'n'b
Cover: no cover
Scott Carrelli has got some great help with steering the Satellite this week-- The Deep End's Shooey and Kuze of Still Doin' It are in the house, and they are sure to rock the joint, each in their own special way. Shooey's bumpin' house and dirty breaks tracks always keeps the crowd on their toes, guessing away. And Kuze's ill d'n'b sound always gives the dancefloor just the sort of pummeling they need.
