Decompression 2006
Whether you are still bent out of shape with post playa angst or not, Decompression is where you need to spend the day on Sunday. With six blocks of sprawl space for the diverse collection of art, theme camps, circus, puppetry, marching bands, and DJs playing only those fantastic beats that kept the playa poppin' this year, the Burning Man folks are sure to keep the street at dangerous levels of heat this year. Musical performers and theme camps cover a wide spectrum of styles and influences and include MoPo, House of Lotus, Deep End, Opulent Temple, Black Rock Rollerdisco, and many more. All street soundsystems shut off at 10pm and the Mariposa Street Stage ends at 11pm, so read (and adhere to) this list of do's and don'ts, and plan on getting to the festivities early. Or better yet, find out how you can get involved. Date: Sunday 10/8, Time: 12pm- 11pm, Place: Indiana St. btw. Mariposa and 22nd St, Cover: $10 donation in Black Rock Couture, $20 in streetwear, linkMore Info (DKD)
