Gen Art San Francisco presents Ignite! This is the 7th Annual Newfangle Art Exhibition, focusing on technology driven photography and video art. It will feature The Gen Art Screening Room, showing independent short films from the Bay Area and beyond, and The Performance lounge with some of the hottest and most talented performers in the Bay Area including artists Audio Angel, David Boyce, Javier Cordoba, Tracy Ginsberg, Theodore Lillie, Calliope Kalombrastos and Serena. Burning Man: A Decade of Photos
If you've ever wondered why 30,000 of us lunatics wander out into a stark dry lake bed in the middle of summer, this is your chance to get a glimpse of what Burning Man is all about. Larry Harvey and photographer Barbara Traub will host a special showing of ten years of Burning Man photos, chronicling the evolution of the event from a small performance art exhibition into a massive pop/counter-culture phenomenon. Everything from the man himself to the playa-scale art, costumes, art-cars and other explosions of human creativity that are the hallmark of an ever-expanding generation's signature gathering. Bay Area Styles
Reppin the true urban fashion sense of the Bay, this live fashion showcase at Club Six will show off the latest and greatest from our scene here at home. Honest Bob will be hosting this showcase, and will feature artists J.Gibb, R.O.D., L7, Nate', Ray Ryda, Munip, turf Mob, T-Mazz, and J.Y.G (Junk Yard Goons). You can also peep the latest designs from Mob Designs, Top Natch, Nicky Devine, E&J Couture, Miranda Fae, Rain Flower Designs, Lth Appparel (Lifetime Hustler), Rockrio, and Elaines Wearable Art. SF Symphony in Dolores Park
An annual tradition is back as teh San Francisco Symphony gives its free summer performance in Dolores Park. The musicians will be demonstrating their instruments prior to the concert, and there will be plenty to see and do as food vendors, jugglers, face painters and much much more for kids and adults to enjoy. The program will feature Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor and the 1812 Overture, and works by Bernstein and Falla. Summer Music Conference
San Francisco is the city with the most DJs per capita in the world, and some of this city's best and brightest decided it's high time the music world came and saw what we are all about.
