Gallery presents a new film and photography work
from renowned LA musicological/cultural/political
artists B+ and Eric Coleman. Unseen Works includes
two photography exhibits. The first from Coleman
focuses on simple subjects and how they gain importance
and meaning when photographed. "Somehow registering
the formal arrangement of clothes and linen on a
washing line speaks to the core of my practice,
" the artist said. The second exhibit by B+ includes
images taken while in Florida on assignment for
Tokion magazine and concentrates on the democratic
collapse that occurred when Bush became president
despite Gore having more votes. The final exhibit
is a film called "Keepintime: A Live Recording"
featuring the legendary drummers Earl Palmer, Paul
Humphrey, James Gadson, Roy Porter, contrasting
with modern greats like with DJ's Babu, J.Rocc,
NuMark, Madlib, Shortcut, and Cut Chemist performing
live in front of 1100 people at the El Rey in Los
