Park
at the Haight Street Fair ha! Don't even think about
it. You can barely park up here during the normal
weekend freakshow. It's well worth the bus trip
however as the historic cultural district gets transformed
into a playground of live music, booths, food, freaks
and fun. There are usually house parties popping
off with Djs playing in a window above you and party-people
dancing on the fire escape. The Haight is not just
for hippies anymore it's for all the alternative
thinkers who have gone against the grain over the
27 years the fair has occurred. The musical guests
have not yet been announced but the lineup usually
includes a little jazz, hip-hop, blues and funk.
Trust this editor, she's been in the heart of it
for 6 years — You'll love the Haight. Date:
