There's
only two things you really need to be concerned about
this week: deciding which Halloween parties you're
hitting up, and deciding which Djs you're voting for.
Nitevibe is your one-stop-shop for both of these activities
and may I remind you, these activities are mandatory
for all SF nightlife gliteratti! There are more than
enough Halloween parties at which you can show off
your fancy costume even days before the big night
invades the Castro. Massive mega-club events like
Goodie Mob at Kelly's, underground happenings like
Ellen Ferrato at Opel and perfect in-between parties
like Jesse Saunders at Club Six are all on the calendar.
Don't worry, there's something for everyone and it's
the same way with the SF Dj nominees. So once you
have your party plan in order, choose your favorite
Top 10 Djs here
and make your voice heard. Thanks to everyone who
re-voted since our tech mishap. Happy Halloween! (JP)
Viva
la 'Day of the Dead'
By
the time the Mexican holiday - Day of the Dead - rolls
around on November 2nd, you'll probably feel kind
of lifeless after all the partying. But that is all
the more reason to hit this celebration in the Mission.
Local foundations the Marigold Project and Rescue
Culture Collective bring their yearly procession at
24th and Bryant and an altar exhibition in Garfield
Park. You'll feel culturally enlightened as you witness
an important piece of Mexican culture. Also check
out the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts historical
lowdown. Date: Sunday, November 2,
Time: 10am-5pm (opening reception
6:30-11pm), Place: Mission Center

get some mileage out of that elaborate costume. With
five themed stages and over 30 acts, beer gardens,
