Uniting Souls, Mr. Brown, Jah Love and True School join forces like Megatron to bring you the bomb ass beats from live hip-hop to deep house. Alexander East (who has been remixed by Detroit star, Derrick Carter) is rumored to sing and play instruments while spinning. Versatility, I like that.

EventClub Six Three Year Anniversary Party
Venue: Club Six
Entertainment: Resident Anita Lofton, DJ Travis (Loose Joints), Sir Charles (Taboo)

Music: soulful house

Cover:$6 before 11pm, $9 after
DJ Anita's groovy soulful house vibe under Club Six's lovely lounge will rock the dance floor and leave you wanting more. I know because I worked coat check there one time and at the end of the night, no one would come get their coats. They stood there dumbfounded in front of the decks. Hello, people! I'm taking your Max Mara coat home now…

Event: Atmosfere
Venue: 111 Minna

The Pioneer DJs of Atmosfere with new resident Kaz return to prove once and for all that they are the champions. C'mon guys didn't you already prove yourself by winning all those "best house party" awards?

EventCharlie Don't Surf
Venue: Movida Lounge
Entertainment: DJs Lombardi, Luke Magnunsen
Music: anything but house

Cover:FREE
Party too hard on Saturday and still hear that thumping 4-4 beat pounding away? I have the perfect remedy. The new party, Charlie Don't Surf at Movida plays anything but house. Hear broken beat, electro and whatever else these two feel like playing at the loungy Sangria-toting Movida.

Sunday

EventTrashamerica
Venue: The Cellar
Entertainment: DJs OST, DJ 10"

Music: experimental, mixed format

Cover:$5, free before 10pm
Fun in a disturbing kind of way- that's how I describe producer/ DJ OST and his music. Ranging from minimal techno to ambient to Kool and the Gang. You just don't know until you go. This night of experimental beats happens in the back room at the Drum and Bass night, Compression.

EventCollection
Venue: Galaxy
Entertainment: DJ Raf.One
Music: house, disco, electro

Cover:$5, free before 9pm
This monthly party is a fine way to ease into Sunday night with some digestible house and disco sounds that are not too big and not too small... just right.

EventDub Mission
Venue: Elbo Room
Entertainment: Resident DJ Sep, Jah Yzer
Music: reggae, dub

Cover:$4
Jah Yzer is the guest this week at Dub Mission and I'm never let down with his performance. Actually at Dub Mission I stay rather high.. Just off the music of course. I love me some dub.
