Stephanie’s Standards: The week ahead...
The world over, Semitic party people are feasting on apples and honey to ensure a sweet Jewish New Year. Sweeten your own year with these tasty local treats!o:p>

Last week, the numinous nocturnes of Second Sunday Productions turned their attentions towards the needs of NYC and launched United We Stand. This week, their philanthropy continues. Don’t miss Solidarity this Thursday at DNA Lounge. A ten-dollar or more donation at the door goes directly to the American Red Cross and United Way. In exchange, die-hard DJ’s like Miguel Migs, the luminaries of Soulstice Soundsystem, XLR8R, KUSF, Felix the Dog, and more donate their time and talent to our scene’s continuing effort to be all it can be. They raised eleven K last Sunday. Think we can beat that this week? You bet we can.

We sprang forward, now it’s time to fall back on these San Francisco standards. Ease back into the groove with this classic line-up. Maybe you haven’t checked out some of these regular weekly parties, or maybe you just need a familiar vibe as you emerge from your CNN cocoon. Say good-bye to Wolf, Sam, Peter, Tom, and the rest of your newscaster buddies, and ease on down to these roads:

>>>>WENDSDAY 09/19
I just HAVE to mention Qool. This party is wonderful. It really is. It’s like a happy place with all the beautiful, most down-to-earth, old school clubbers you’d ever want. No attitude, just simple, good fun. Party after work from 5-10 and still get to bed early on a school night. fact, those years taught me quite the contrary.

Or, go out from there. How familiar are you with DJ Demilo? I’ve followed him for years. He is, quite simply, one of the best. Catch him at Ruby Skye’s Wednesday night Discover party. Ten dollars at the door, and please, when we say dancing shoes, we DON’T mean tennis shoes.

>>>>THURSDAY 09/20
Solidarity, member? I, like, already told you about it and stuff. DNA Lounge. Hello? Short Term Memory, anyone?

Join the super nightlife community of Mixed Elements at Hi-Fi where they present DJs Tad Ro, Kramer, Chuck $ Roll, and Bali. Free drink tickets to the first 75 people who RSVP on their website

Break you off a piece of what? Satisfy your sweet tooth at Kit Kat each and every Thursday night at the End Up. This is the House that Ellen Ferrato, Jay-J, Miguel Migs, Jellybear, Garth, and John Howard built. The sounds are serious till 4 am. You’re roof will definitely be on fire. Be sure to drink plenty of water...

>>>>FRIDAY 09/21

Nikita is always staple in the true SF clubber’s diet. Head to Ten 15, SoMa’s original mega-club, to revel in the environments that Slacker (UK), Dano, Taj Melvin ‘J, and Rafael create for you this Friday. It’s $20, folks, so make sure you make friends at the door. Log onto www.spundae.com for upcoming events and info. Whoever said there’s no such thing as a sure thing never experienced Nikita

DJ Sol, DJ Seven, Greg Eversoul, and superstar Tony (Tango Records, The Gathering) keep you Blue till 2. Ten after ten, free before.

But before the first cry of the farm cock (and you can take that however you want), you can find him after hours at Hotel Ibiza spinning from 2 to 4, taking over for his buddy Demilo. Boy, he gets around almost as much as you do, you naughty thing, you.
